Our Story Begins Here
❊ About Us
“Our Story Begins Here — But It Belongs to His Kingdom”
Every movement begins with a conviction.
For us, Ian and Lauren Ehrhardt, that conviction is simple:
“The Church belongs to Jesus, and His Ways must be lived, not just attended.”
Over the past decade, we have pursued Jesus with intensity; through intentional study, multiple degrees in theology, and what we often call a “violent pursuit” of understanding what it truly means to be His disciple. Our journey has not been casual or cultural; it has been marked by wrestling with Scripture, confronting traditions, and relentlessly asking, “What does it mean to be a true student of the teachings of Christ?”
That pursuit led us here: to the conviction that Jesus never called us to build institutions centered on personalities, but to form Church-Body Communities; Spirit-led families of believers who gather in homes, neighborhoods, and cities across the nation to live out the Acts 2 model of fellowship, prayer, generosity, holiness, and mission.
We founded The Way Churches because we believe discipleship is not a program, but a lifestyle. The church is not an event we attend, but a people we become. This vision begins in Jackson, Mississippi, but it is not bound to one place. The Way is a movement of men and women who, as equal sons and daughters of Christ, seek to embody the Kingdom of God in their everyday lives.
Like the first believers, we long to see Jesus magnified, disciples multiplied, and communities transformed. We are not chasing numbers or platforms, but living testimonies of the Gospel; people who love God, love others, and make disciples who make disciples.
This is our story. And it is only the beginning. From Jackson to the nation, we believe The Way belongs to Jesus, and His Kingdom has no end.
